Minute of Mercy

Minute of Mercy

WEDNESDAY, 03.23.16

Today’s Minute of Mercy is brought to you from the book entitled Daily Reflections A YEAR OF MERCY WITH Pope Francis.

“Many try to escape form others and take refuge in the comfort of their privacy or in a small circle of close friends, renouncing the realism of the social aspect of the Gospel. For just as some people want a purely spiritual Christ, without flesh and without the cross, they also want their interpersonal relationships provided by sophisticated equipment, by screens and systems which can be turned on and off on command.”

So… [PAUSE] Do you every try to escape from others? Do you find yourself choosing media and electronics over true and real relationships? Find ways to break out of these habits so that you can give and receive mercy in relationships with others. As we approach Good Friday, maybe consider a little extra sacrifice, beyond that of food and meat! Maybe take some time to consider the great sacrifice of the cross…and find refuge in God’s endless mercy … instead of your cell.

This has been a minute of mercy from Mr. Bohnak. Have a mercy-filled day, NDCL!
