Retreat Leaders

Seniors lead in the following retreat roles.

Freshman COMMUNITY Retreat: The freshman retreat is supported by a combination of    Senior LINK CREW leaders and Seniors who have attended the Kairos retreat. They have an opportunity to witness their faith and integrate their faith into the community building activities that take place on retreat.

Sophomore RESPECT Retreat: Seniors who have been on a Kairos Retreat are selected to help with the Sophomore retreat. They have an opportunity to witness their faith and help facilitate the retreat.

Senior INTEGRITY Retreat:
Senior leaders who have been on a Kairos retreat are selected to help lead small groups among their peers.

Kairos TEAM:
Kairos retreat is available for juniors to attend in April, and once they have attended, they may apply to be leaders on one of the three Kairos retreats their senior year. In order to be a leader, all students must interview with the Campus Ministers to share why they want to be a Kairos leader, and also to share about their faith. A discernment process takes place to see where the students’ gifts can be shared with the team.

All of the senior leaders are trained in-group dynamics, how to lead sharing and discussion, and in being a leader at all times. They are also asked to commit to the Christian Code of Conduct of leaders which includes regular mass attendance and Christian behaviors. Our leaders have a strong impact on the students and we appreciate their modeled leadership to the school.

Liturgical Ministers

All students have an opportunity to be a part of the school liturgies. Freshman are invited to be servers at mass. Sophomores & juniors are invited to be servers, lectors, and gift bearers. Seniors can be trained as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. They must participate in the diocesan training and receive recommendations from both their pastor and two teachers in order to be trained by the diocese. Fall Training Date: Sunday, August 27th, 1:30-4:30 pm @ St. Edward's HS in Lakewood. Seniors notify Campus Ministry by August 17 if interested (x1059).
