Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin is a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory school.

Sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame who founded Notre Dame Academy and heir to the Marianist spirit of Cathedral Latin School, NDCL is grounded in the shared values of two strong educational traditions: faith formation, academic excellence, school as community, and commitment to service.

Like Mary who gave Christ to the world, NDCL prepares leaders who transform the world by doing the truth in love.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School will be guided over the next five years by the following five core values:

  • We believe in the assumption of personal responsibility for one’s beliefs and behaviors.
  • We seek honesty and trust in all our relationships.
  • We are guided by the highest possible professional and ethical standards.

  • We affirm the dignity, worth, and human potential of every person.
  • We grow in understanding and appreciation for diversity in our school and the world.
  • We serve others with caring and empathy.

  • We always expect the best and give the best.
  • We seek every opportunity to improve.
  • We instill a quest for continuous growth and integration.

  • We are guided by our shared values and strong traditions.
  • We nurture and give life to school spirit and pride among all constituencies.
  • We work with each other in a spirit of collegiality.
  • We value the importance of the family in our school and society.

  • We are guided by the core principles of Catholic social teaching.
  • We promote justice as right relationships in our school and community.
  • We recognize our responsibility to work toward a just society.
