solving.
Honors Algebra I
Honors Algebra I is open to freshmen who meet the approval of the Mathematics department
and offers the topics in Algebra I on a deeper and more challenging level.
Informal Geometry
This course deals with all the concepts of geometry with less emphasis on formal proofs.
It also strengthens algebra skills in preparation for Algebra II.
Geometry
Geometry deals with the measurement, properties, and relationships of points, lines,
angles, surfaces and solids developing students' ability to reason logically and to formulate
mathematical proofs.
Honors Geometry
Honors Geometry is open to all students who meet the approval of the mathematics department
and offers the topics offered in Geometry on a deeper and more challenging level.
Algebra II*
Algebra II is a second course in algebra that integrates the concepts, principles and
operations of algebra and geometry providing a third or fourth year of math for students
who need to fulfill college requirements.
Advanced Algebra II*
This course provides for the needs of students who are interested in careers that demand
a knowledge of mathematics and intend to study Trig and Pre-Calculus in their senior
year.
Honors Advanced Algebra II with Trigonometry*
Honors Advanced Algebra II - Trigonometry is open to students who meet the approval of
the Department. This course offers all the topics offered in Advanced Algebra II plus
Trigonometry, and on a deeper and more challenging level.
Honors Pre-Calculus*
This course is to be taken concurrently with Honors Advanced Algebra II with Trigonometry.
Students will analyze functions, describe end behavior and classify discontinuous functions.
Trigonometry and Functions*
Trigonometry and Functions integrates ideas of functions and trigonometry with statistics
and data analysis establishing a firm foundation for future work in mathematics courses.
Trogonometry and Pre-Calculus*
Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus lays the foundation for the study of mathematics in college,
reinforcing the use of algebraic techniques and trigonometry.
Advanced Placement Statistics*
This course is an introduction to statistics, including analysis of single and bivariate
data, probability distributions and sample variability. Students are prepared for the
AP Statistics exam.
Advanced Placement Calculus A/B*
AP Calculus A/B continues the honors sequence and prepares the students for the AP Calculus
Exam. The course deals with limits and continuity, the derivative and its applications,
integration and its applications, inverse functions, logarithmic and exponential functions.
Advanced Placement Calculus B/C*
