The NDCL Performing Arts Department directed by NDCL teacher Ms. Shirley Ivancic Stall with student director senior Christine Sandacz proudly presented the award-winning musical, Bells Are Ringing, this past March.
The play set in the early 1960’s depicts a failing writer, Jeff Moss, who is inspired by an intriguing young woman, Ella Peterson in New York City. This romantic couple is portrayed by seniors AJ Warner and Regina Strumbly. There is a comedic subplot based upon the local answering service owned by Sue Summers unwittingly used as the front to a horse-betting cover-up run by a local conman known as Sandor. These two roles are played by junior Laura Pinzone and senior Sean Cahill.
The cast includes 34 talented students onstage and many more students working behind the scenes.
