Computer Applications
"The skills I learned in this class have been very useful in ALL my other classes.
I can create reports, as well as graphs to illustrate my information. I can also keep track
of my grades."
Electronic Research
"We are learning how the Internet dramatically affects the way companies do business,
as well as how to do research and evaluate the sites we visit."
Programming in C++
"Not only is the C++ course a fun way to learn logic and problem solving, it is
also an asset for college admission. When I met with an MIT alumnus for an interview,
the feature at NDCL that impressed him most was that we were a high school which offered
C++ as an elective."

The
Technology Department at NDCL incorporates state of the art technology with a dynamic and
comprehensive curriculum and experiences teachers to guide students to a thorough understanding
of the subject matter.
Students may develop skills needed to meet the challenges of one of the fastest developing
areas of technology, the personal computer. They learn both how and why technology is critical
to solving problems in the classroom and in whatever field they choose. Students master
consumer software, and learn to interact with client/server applications on a network.
They have the opportunity to learn the most widely used language in the construction of
commercial software, C++, as well as the |

use
of PageMaker, the industry standard in desktop publishing software. With the use of the
T1 line, the students may access the Internet directly from the 3 classrooms and library
to perform online research for projects being studied in any discipline. |
