Affordability

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School is dedicated to maintaining a student body that is socially and economically diverse. Recognizing the financial commitment families must make for an NDCL education, the school has provided over $500,000 in tuition assistance for the 2007-08 academic year. This assistance is awarded according to demonstrated family need with consideration given to academic potential and contribution to the school community. Any student interested in attending NDCL can be considered for tuition assistance programs.

Qualifying for Assistance Programs

Families should not hesitate in applying for assistance. All information is confidential and is only used to determine which families have demonstrated need and should be considered for assistance. All applications are thoroughly evaluated by a financial assistance committee and special circumstances are reviewed.

Need-based Financial Assistance

Need-based financial assistance is offered to students whose families demonstrate financial need. Families must fill out a Private School Aid Service (PSAS) application annually to be considered for assistance. PSAS, an independent organization, analyzes a family’s ability to pay tuition. The analysis is then sent to NDCL. The amount of assistance a family receives is determined by the school based on family need and available resources. In addition to filling out the PSAS form the student should complete the NDCL scholarship application.

Merit/Placement Test Scholarships

Awards are based on the top incoming freshman scores on the NDCL placement/merit scholarship tests given in the fall. Scholarships are four-year renewable awards and require maintaining a grade point average of 3.50 at NDCL.
