Visitors on the NDCL campus may look forward to seeing the royal blue and gold school
colors waving proudly during a host of activities. They'll also hear the roar of the
NDCL mascot, the lion during a hard-fought varsity football game, women's volleyball
tournament, or other exciting athletic competition.
Excellence is our focus in both academics and in extracurriculars. NDCL has enjoyed
athletic success at the regional, state, national, and even Olympic level. Annually,
graduates receive scholarships to schools across the country. We are proud of this history.
NDCL is a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and the North Coast League.
Other teams in this highly competitive league include Archbishop Hoban, Cleveland Central
Catholic, Elyria Catholic High Schools, Holy Name, Lake Catholic, Padua Franciscan, St.
Peter Chanel, Trinity and Villa Angela-Saint Joseph. |

PHILOSOPHY
The purpose of NDCLs interscholastic sports program is to:
- Provide students with athletic ability the opportunity to use and develop their talents
while participating in competitive contests under the direction of qualified and dedicated
coaches.
- Instill in student athletes the Christian values and attitudes of sportsmanship,
teamwork, respect, and dedication.
- Allow student athletes the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop as students and
athletes, integrating into their lives a sense of priority, commitment, and dedication
that will prepare them for future challenges.
- Educate the whole person, physically, mentally, and spiritually to use their God
given talents wisely.
