Service Opportunities.

The Willoughby Library is looking for volunteers for their Summer Reading Buddies Program: Volunteers will be paired with a first, second, or third grade student to read aloud together and practice reading skills through games and activities. Help is needed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in June and July. For more information or to register, call Rachael Chicone at (440) 942-3200 x104.

Volunteers for The Fest 2011:. It will be held Sunday, August 7, 2011-it could be used for service hours for next year. More information and registration are available on the website www.thefest.us.

Spring Clean-Up Geauga Days: The Board of Commissioners is working with the Department of Aging to help senior citizens with yard and other outdoor work. Times and dates can be anytime in May. Contact Bob Debevits or Bill Phillips at (440)279-2130 Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM to register or for more information.

St. Anselm Church Festival: Volunteers are needed for the church food booth. The festival will be held Thursday, May 26 - Sunday, May 29, 2011. Contact Linda Nissen at linda627@roadrunner.com or (440)729-0047 to register or for more information.

Geauga County Habitat for Humanity Youth Build: Youth United of Geauga County Habitat for Humanity is building a home for a family in need. Volunteers aged 16 and up are needed to help with construction. Contact Cheryl Graham at (440)564-5848 or geaugahabitatpa@windstream.net for more information or to register.

St. Paschal Baylon Volunteer Events: St. Paschal Baylon parish is hosting a number of volunteer opportunities this Autumn. Some of them include:

  • Helping Hands Ministry
  • Ladies Guild Craft Show
  • Trunk or Treat
