Based upon her outstanding performance on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) last October, senior Jaclyn Melvin
has been named a National Merit Semi-Finalist. Fewer than 1% of the
nation's high school seniors qualify for this prestigious distinction.
"We are all so proud of Jaclyn," said Principal Mr. Joseph A. Waler.
"She is an exceptional student who freely shares her many gifts and
talents to enhance our community of faith and learning at NDCL."
Jaclyn will
now compete for finalist status in the National Merit Program by
submitting a comprehensive application documenting her academic
achievements. Finalists are eligible for scholarships sponsored by the
National Merit Program as well as by businesses and colleges throughout
the country.
