Twelve win Living the Truth in Love Awards

MISSION IN ACTION: To the cheers of the entire student body, recipients of this year's Living the Truth in Love Award display their plaques following Thursday's Baccalaureate Mass. Award winners include freshmen Nicole Grosel (left) and Mary Grace Raddell; sophomores Anna Egensberger and John Burwinkel; juniors Mary Malone, Zachary Sabath, Daniel Liberatore, and Giovanna Vitale; sophomores Steven Dailey and Isabella Harton; and freshmen Jack Baker and Pierce Thomas.

Following Thursday's Baccalaureate Mass, President Sister Jacquelyn Gusdane and Principal Mr. Joseph A. Waler presented the Living the Truth in Love Award to 12 students who exemplify the mission of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin.

The Living the Truth in Love Award is the highest honor NDCL presents to any student. A selection committee chooses four students of each grade from nominations submitted by teachers, counselors, and administrators. Award recipients' photos hang in the school's main corridor for a year.

Here are the Living the Truth in Love Award winners for 2016-2017:

Class of 2018:
Daniel Liberatore, Zachary Sabath, Giovanna Vitale, and Mary Malone

Class of 2019:
John Burwinkel, Steven Dailey, Anna Egensperger, and Isabella Harton

Class of 2020:
Jack Baker, Pierce Thomas, Mary Grace Raddell, and Nicole Grosel

We honored seniors Olivia Gorom, Stephanie Hetki, Christopher Jerme, and Jacob Liptow with the Living the Truth in Love Award during the Senior Honors Ceremony earlier this month.
