Freshmen celebrate faith, friendship with annual low-ropes retreat on campus
In this all-day event, small groups of freshmen and Link Crew leaders worked together to tackle 14 low-ropes stations on our campus. As freshmen completed the stations, their upperclass leaders shared personal reflections to connect the low-ropes experiences to scripture.

"For their part, freshmen affirmed each member of their groups, sharing what they did well and why. They also wrote letters to their future selves that we will return to them during their senior retreat in 2020-2021," said Campus Minister Miss Sarah Reed, who coordinated the retreat with Director of Campus Ministry Mrs. Beth Davis.

Following lunch, everyone gathered for Mass in the Pat and Janet O'Brien Center for the Performing Arts. Chaplain Father Jim Caddy challenged the freshmen to continue building the community they experienced on retreat so that no freshman will ever be left behind.

WEB MASTER: Freshman Brandon Fischer weaves his way through the spider web challenge on the low-ropes course.
THIS IS NOT DUNKIN DONUTS: Freshmen Veronica Mekhel and Jessica Romano complete the donut hole challenge.

STRETCHING TOWARD THE GOAL: Members of his retreat group encourage freshman Barry Markiewich as he works his way across the crossbeam to conquer the bird's nest challenge, one of the 14 low-ropes stations on this year's Community Retreat.
LION LIFT-OFF: Freshman Monica Schneeberger gets some help from the strong shoulders of classmate Josh Seibert to beat the bird's nest challenge. Cheering Monica on are freshmen Hannah Bissler (center), Joe Ferrino, and Ella Koenig.
