After weeks of planning, our campus' second annual Kick-It events shattered the $12,000 fundraising goal as students, staff, families, and friends raised over $20,000 for pediatric cancer research on Monday.

"With a lot of planning, marketing, and deliberating, the Kick-It event has surpassed any single fundraising event by a single class," said Theology teacher and Student Council co-adviser Mr. Douglas Murray.

Christian Leadership students used their creativity to raise funds, including the KickBald campaign. After the shaving event in the morning, the NDCL and Notre Dame Elementary School communities came together after school to celebrate their efforts with a community kick-ball game. "Words can not express all the gratitude in my heart for everything Mr. Murray and all of the students have accomplished," said Mrs. Cathy Welcsh, Director of Kick-It. "What an amazing impact you all have made towards finding a cure for kids with cancer!"
