NDCL, NDES to partner for 3rd annual event to "kick" pediatric cancer

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and Notre Dame Elementary School students will once again partner to help to kick pediatric cancer by holding its third annual Kick-It game on Monday, May 5, from 3:15 to 6:30 p.m. at NDCL's Lozick Field at Lion Stadium.

Founded by a ten-year old boy with cancer, Kick-It is an opportunity for students to support their classmate and make a difference in their community. Students collect donations with classmates and have a friendly competition with other classrooms to raise money. To celebrate, the students will play kickball. The afternoon will be filled with games, food, and crafts for all ages.

Last year, Christian Leadership students used their creativity to raise funds, including the KickBald campaign. Together, we raised over $20,000 for pediatric cancer. Students will once again raise money and “go bald” before the game.

The day will officially “kick-off” with a pancake Breakfast Club: Breakfast of Champions from 8:00 to 9:15 a.m. The cost of breakfast is just $5 and can be charged against available balances on students' Aladdin lunch accounts.

Breakfast tickets, on-line team sign-ups, and Kick-Bald registration are now available. Click here for dates and deadlines. Individual players who raise $50 in donations will receive a free event T-shirt. Kick Bald participation is limited to those who raise $100 or more.. Teams will be limited to 10 NDCL students. Each NDES team will consist of 4-5 students, who will be paired with an NDCL team. This year, you can email and Facebook people to support your participation, all from the Kick-It website.

Join the game by registering teams and players online. Questions? Email Campus Minister Mrs. Beth Davis or call her at 440.279.1059.
