First-ever Spirit Week beats winter blahs
The groundhog may have predicted six more weeks of winter, but that didn't dampen the spirit of the Lions as they celebrated the end of our first-ever Spirit Week with an exciting Spirit Games competition on Friday afternoon.

The games culminated a week of friendly competition among the classes, including a coin war, scavenger hunts, and daily contests for such things as getting to class on time and joining in the dress down themes. Prizes, an ice cream sundae bar, and even a visit from the Rescue Village therapy dogs rounded out a great week that banished the winter blues.

Special thanks to our Student Activities Board and advisers Ms. Susan Ancheta and Miss Ericka Bella for their hard work on what is sure to become a new NDCL tradition!

Seniors Danny Zucker and Zach Zienka (standing) compete in the Hungry Hippos game. Students on furniture dollies used laundry baskets to collect baseballs and tennis balls as classmates pushed and pulled them across the McGarry Gym floor.
