After an impressive first-place finish in last week's district tournament, NDCL's boys golf team will advance to the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division II State Tournament on October 13-14 at NorthStar Golf Club in Sunbury, just north of Columbus.
The Lions posted a team score of 300 in the district tournament, finishing 27 strokes ahead of second-place Ursuline High School. Junior Arya Achar shot 70, senior Charlie Toman 72, sophomore Danny Milo 78, junior Jake Flynn 80, and sophomore Aditya Achar 84. Arya, Charlie, and Danny all finished in the top 10 of all golfers who competed.
The team won the sectional championship on September 25 at Quail Hollow with a team score of 298—beating runner-up Hawken School by 18 strokes. Ms. Toni DeSanto coaches the Lions.
