Wings 2016 takes flight this weekend
Students will move into the director's chair next weekend as the Performing Arts Department presents Wings 2016, our annual production of student-directed one-act plays.

Senior Machala Comenschek with the assistance of senior Andrew Wright will direct Ariadne Blayde's The Other Room, an intriguing and moving portrayal of the relationship between an autistic boy and one of his high school classmates. The Other Room is presented through special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.

Senior Chandler Brandetsas will serve as director and senior Tyler Olexa as assistant director for Dinner at Eight, Dead by Nine—a comic murder mystery of the ridiculous kind! This zany play by Michael Druce comes to NDCL's Sam J. Frankino Stage through special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service.

The curtain opens in the Pat and Janet O'Brien Center for the Performing Arts at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 6, and Saturday, May 7. There is no charge for NDCL students with their IDs. Admission for all others is $7.00, payable at the box office 30 minutes before each performance. There will be no advance sales.

While Wings is truly a student-directed production, directors receive limited support from Ms. Shirley Ivancic Stall, directing and technical advice; Miss Melissa Parey, production coordination; and Mrs. Mary Wheelock, costume consultation.
