NDCL entrepreneurs share experiences at Geauga Growth Partnership forum

LEARNING FROM THE LIONS: Mr. Jim McClintock of Company 119 interviews seniors John Cermak and Sydney Stefanek during the Geauga Growth Partnership Youth Entrepreneur Forum on Friday at KSU Geauga.

Seniors John Cermak and Sydney Stefanek shared their successes and struggles as young entrepreneurs in a forum sponsored by the Geauga Growth Partnership at Kent State University's Geauga Campus in Burton on Friday morning.

John started "John's Super Pepper Mustard" when he was just 13 as a spin-off from his participation in 4-H Plant Masters. His hard work and secret recipe have created many loyal, satisfied customers that buy up the 500 jars he produces annually.

Sydney began "Sydney's Automobile Detailing" three years ago when she was too young to enter the regular workforce. Her quality work generates many word-of-mouth referrals that keep her busy each summer scrubbing and polishing cars and trucks, with each vehicle taking 10-12 hours to detail.
