Lions Charge Ahead by Giving Back
Hanging dry wall and framing the inside of an Eastlake home were just a few tasks assigned to a group of NDCL alumni on Saturday, October 22nd. The team build was one of two annual service days sponsored by the NDCL Alumni Association in partnership with the Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity.

“Both Habitat and NDCL share a faith-based mission. Together, we faithfully respond to God’s call to serve others,” said Steve Cavolo `05, Vice President of Events.

The group is overseen by a ten-member Board and assisted by class representatives. All graduates in good standing with the school are considered members of the NDCL Alumni Association.

President Joe Watrobski `98 said, “We continue to live out the values we learned at NDCL by actively serving our local communities and organizing events to engage alumni with the school.”

In 2011, the group established an endowed scholarship. It is awarded annually to the child or dependent of an alumnus desiring a NDCL education. This academic year, two students will receive this need-based scholarship.

“The scholarship insures our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will have the opportunity to attend NDCL,” said Watrobski. “It is a gift that will benefit the school in perpetuity.”

Alumni interested in getting involved with the NDCL Alumni Association should contact Vice President of Recruitment Alex Euse `05 at [email protected].
