New service award honors Sister Jacquelyn

To honor President Sister Jacquelyn Gusdane's lifelong commitment to the transformation of the world through service, NDCL has introduced a new service award that bears her name.

CELEBRATING SERVICE: After Thursday's Baccalaureate Mass, President Sister Jacquelyn Gusdane congratulates the inaugural recipients of the service award named in her honor: junior Jacqueline Clinger, sophomore Brendan Welsh, and freshman Pierce Thomas. Senior Angelo Capito received the award earlier this month at the Senior Honors Ceremony.

The Sister Jacquelyn Gusdane Service Award recognizes students for exceptional service that is impactful, inspirational, and transformative. A faculty panel selects one honoree from each grade level after reviewing the top service presentations submitted by all students in their Theology classes. Peer evaluation of the presentations is also part of the selection process.

The inaugural winners of the Sister Jacquelyn Gusdane Service Award are senior Angelo Capito, junior Jacqueline Clinger, sophomore Brendan Welsh, and freshman Pierce Thomas.
