NDCL Celebrates Ash Wednesday Mass

On Wednesday, 3.5.25, our school community came together to celebrate Ash Wednesday Mass marking the beginning of the Lenten season. As we received our ashes, Chaplain, Fr. James Caddy, guided us in reflecting on the significance of this time. "Repent and believe in the Gospel," he reminded us—calling us to renew our commitment to God’s Word. Fr. Caddy emphasized the importance of the traditional Lenten practices of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving over the next 40 days, challenging us to deepen our relationship with God. "Why forty days?" Fr. Caddy asked. "We need to take serious time to reflect on how much God loves us." As we journey through Lent, may we use this sacred time to grow in faith, practice self-discipline, and share God’s love with others.
