Giving Back Through Faith and Service!
Two Notre Dame Schools alumnae, Lori Valyko Weber (NDA ’86) and Katie Skolaris Mooney (’03), are making an impact in their communities through faith and service. Recently, both women returned to their alma mater to speak with students in our Faith and Justice class. Katie Skolaris Mooney encouraged the students to pay attention to what she describes as a "God Wink"—those moments when you feel guided to help others. In 2014, she founded Cleveland Kindness, an organization devoted to spreading compassion throughout the community. Lori Valyko Weber is making a difference with her organization, NPower Services, which helps integrate adults with special needs into their communities. Both women are true examples of transforming the world, as Jesus did, by living the truth in love.
