Sophomores Pierce Thomas and Sarah Azzi have been selected to represent NDCL in two special leadership programs this summer.
Pierce will participate in Look Up To Cleveland Summer, a one-week experience that connects high school students to Cleveland and the people, places, and projects moving it forward. Participants will develop leadership skills and see first-hand how they can contribute to their communities. They will also develop civic awareness of the local community landscape through tours of some of Cleveland's most treasured landmarks and interaction with business, government and community leaders.
Sarah will join student leaders from across Ohio at the Hugh O'Brien Youth State Leadership Seminar, a unique leadership training program that encourages students to recognize their leadership talents and apply them in becoming effective, ethical leaders. Students participate in hands-on leadership activities, meet leaders in the state, and explore their own personal leadership skills while learning how to make a positive impact in their community.
