Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School wins Plain Dealer’s Top Workplaces 2019 Award
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School has been named a winner of the Top Workplaces 2019 Award by The Plain Dealer.

Earning the Top Workplaces 2019 honor is a prestigious distinction—with only 150 companies in the Plain Dealer's broad distribution region making this year’s list, which appeared in the newspaper's June 16 edition.

The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measured several aspects of NDCL’s workplace culture, including leadership, communication, morale, and mission effectiveness.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

“The Top Workplaces 2019 honor is a great culmination to a school year that began with NDCL being the only high school in Ohio to win the U.S. Department of Education’s Blue Ribbon Award,” commented Principal Joseph A. Waler.

“These awards are really two sides of the same coin,” Waler explained. “Because of the shared commitment and focused effort of our expert faculty and staff, our students are achieving at levels that have earned NDCL national recognition.”

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey added. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
