Biomedical symposium slated for Nov. 30
Students in NDCL's Biomedical Studies course will present medical case studies of food-borne illnesses during our next Biomedical Symposium on November 30 from 6:00-7:30 PM.

Students spent the past semester studying patient symptoms, reviewing medical histories, and conducting epidemiological research. They will present their final diagnoses to a panel of medical professionals during the symposium.

Dr. Janet Poponick '77, who serves as the course’s medical consultant, visits the class regularly to share her professional experiences and to refine the students’ diagnostic skills. Dr. Poponick, a member of the Notre Dame Schools Board of Directors, worked for many years as an Emergency Department physician for MetroHealth.
