College App Fest: Island Vibes Edition
On August 4 & 5, the NDCL School Counseling Department welcomed 110 seniors for two days of college application support, expert guidance, tropical treats, and plenty of island vibes.
Day 1 featured a College Essay Writing Workshop led by Ryan Mann, Associate Director of Admission at John Carroll University, alongside the NDCL counseling team. Students learned how to craft authentic, compelling essays and got a head start on one of the most important parts of the college application process.
On Day 2, seniors connected with admissions counselors from 12 colleges and universities during a mini college fair, participated in hands-on Common App work sessions, and received personalized, one-on-one essay feedback from college admissions professionals.

Between the expert support, dedicated work time, personalized feedback, island-themed atmosphere, and snacks, our seniors made meaningful progress toward their post-secondary goals while having some fun along the way!
