NDCL students, eighth graders ‘Step UP to SERVE’
Last Saturday NDCL partnered with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Laura's Home, and Altercare for our first "Step UP to SERVE" experience for 52 students, including 18 eighth graders from seven different elementary schools.

Students packaged over 600 boxes of food at the food bank, organized and sanitized children's play areas at Laura's Home, and created Halloween crafts at Altercare. The day ended with a picnic lunch and sending prayer service led by Chaplain Father James Caddy.

"In the same way that Christ sent his disciples to be signs of hope in the world, students embraced their call to be light for others through simple acts of kindness and love," said Director of Admissions Mr. Michael Suso '02, who developed the program.

Theology teachers Mr. Joseph Alto and Mr. Rob Plumley, Assistant Principal Mrs. Denice Teeples, and campus minister Miss Sarah Reed worked side-by-side with the students at the service sites.
