Our Mission

Like Mary, who gave Christ to the world, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School educates leaders who transform the world, as Jesus did, by living the truth in love.

Our Vision

Notre Dame Schools will engage students from preschool through high school in an exceptional Catholic education. We will focus on loving, respecting, and educating all to discover and develop their God-given talents. We will challenge our students to respond faithfully to Jesus’ call to transform the world by consciously doing good and bringing hope to the hearts of all.

What's going to happen in the fall?

In an ordinary June, almost no one wants to think about the start of school in the fall. Summertime, after all, is all about relaxation, recreation, vacation, and reconnecting with friends and family. It's usually the time to forget about alarm clocks, bell schedules, and, yes, textbooks and homework.

But this is no ordinary summer.

"Whether I'm sitting at my desk at school or standing in the check-out line at Costco, I'm always getting questions about the start of the new school year," said Principal Mr. Joseph A. Waler.

NDCL wins Plain Dealer’s Top Workplaces 2020 Award

For the second consecutive year, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School has been named a winner of the Top Workplaces Award by The Plain Dealer.

Earning the Top Workplaces 2020 honor is a prestigious distinction with only 175 companies in the Plain Dealer's broad distribution region making this year's list, which appeared in the newspaper's June 28 edition.

The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.

NDCL's 30th Annual Commencement will be remembered as the most creative and perhaps the most joyous send-off for any graduating class in school history.

Because of social distancing required by the pandemic, NDCL moved the ceremony from the Mentor Fine Arts Center to the Mayfield Road Drive-In. Members of the senior class chose the drive-in option after considering seven different ways to celebrate the end of their high school days.
