NDCL remembers Latin grad lost at Pearl Harbor
On December 7 our school community commemorated the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor by remembering in a special way Ensign William Halloran '33, who perished with more than 2,000 sailors aboard the USS Arizona on that infamous day.
Mr. Halloran and all Cathedral Latin graduates who gave their lives in World War II are enshrined on a plaque that hangs in the corridor near McGarry Gym. To mark the 80th anniversary of his death, we displayed Mr. Halloran's photo and death notification next to the plaque. Principal Mr. Joseph A. Waler also shared Mr. Halloran's story and yearbook photo during the daily video announcements.
