Robotics Team takes top award in regional tourney
NDCL's Robotics Team and its alliance partners took first place in a field of 15 teams at the Cleveland Regional Tournament at Kirtland High School on January 15.
Junior Alex Nevison serves as team leader, with juniors Nathan Galante and Alex Simerale driving the robot. Junior Nic Ramsey created custom autonomous routines on-the-fly to help the Lions secure a first-seed alliance position.
NDCL also won the Gracious Professionalism Award for exemplifying professionalism and cooperation during the competition. NDCL advances to the state qualifier in the first week of February.
