Nationally acclaimed author to speak
on helping teens manage stress, anxiety
To empower parents to help their teenagers manage anxiety, stress, and other powerful emotions, NDCL's Counseling Department will host nationally acclaimed author and psychologist Dr. Lisa Damour for a special presentation on October 6 at 6:30 PM.
Recognized as a thought leader by the American Psychological Association, Dr. Damour co-hosts the Ask Lisa podcast, writes about adolescents for the New York Times, appears as a regular contributor to CBS News, and works in collaboration with UNICEF. She is the author of two New York Times best sellers on guiding adolescents through the pressures and stresses that characterize this transitional phase of life.
During her one-hour presentation, Dr. Damour will address the heightened emotional concerns of adolescence, how to best support teens' psychological well-being and healthy motivation, and how to help teens manage stress, anxiety, and other emotions effectively.
