Mr. Carillon promoted as NDCL athletic director
Associate Athletic Director Mr. Nicholas Carillon has been promoted as NDCL's new athletic director, succeeding Mr. Jim Clark, who recently announced his resignation.

Mr. Carillon, who has served as NDCL's associate athletic director since 2020, will lead the Lions' vibrant and successful athletic program, which includes 50 teams in 28 interscholastic sports.

Mr. Carillon earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from the University of Akron and a master's degree in sport administration from the University of Cincinnati. He holds Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) certification from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

Prior to coming to Lion Country, Mr. Carillon served as athletic operations coordinator at Woodridge High School in Peninsula. He previously directed football creative media and assisted with recruiting and football operations at the University of Akron.

"Mr. Carillon is the right man at the right time to lead Lion athletics," commented Principal Mr. Joseph A. Waler. "His professional expertise, personal zeal, and steadfast commitment to our mission and values will enable him to build upon the legacy of Mr. Clark and the late Mr. Frank Platzar as he leads our interscholastic athletic programs to the next level."

"I am blessed to have the opportunity to build upon the rich history and tradition here at NDCL. Watching our student-athletes succeed both on and off the field while leading with God in the forefront is why I do this work," Mr. Carillon said.

"We have the best student-athletes, coaches, faculty and families here on Auburn Road. I am truly excited to continue to be a part of something special."
