Class of 2026 celebrates Freshman Induction

The 170 members of our Class of 2026 accepted their role in advancing NDCL's mission and core values during the traditional Freshman Induction Ceremony on Monday evening in Regina Mundi Chapel of the Notre Dame Education Center, just up the hill from NDCL.

MAKING A MEMORY: Principal Mr. Joseph A. Waler presents a keepsake plaque to freshman Julia Fitzwater during the Freshman Induction Ceremony.

In her remarks to the freshmen, senior Paige Fisher urged them to make the most of their high school years by taking risks, seeking help, and connecting with others and God.

"Cherish the next four years," she said. "Cherish the people you meet and the connections you make. That’s what our NDCL community teaches."

"You have a chance to bring people together, to bring people closer to God. Each one of you is going to make a difference at this school. That's why you are here tonight," Paige stressed.

To symbolize their new status in our school community, freshmen received personalized framed replicas of the TRANSFORM mural in the NDCL lobby as well as NDCL insignia lapel pins from President Dr. Michael Bates and Principal Mr. Joseph A. Waler.
