Robotics team qualifies for state tournament
NDCL's robotics team will compete in the state robotics tournament in early March after finishing fourth in the regional qualifying competition last week.

During the regional event, which was remote this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Lions conducted and scored several official matches, which can be viewed on the team's official YouTube channel.

The Lions also won the regional competition's Design Award for their exemplary engineering portfolio detailing the design process for NDCL's robot.

Team members include freshmen Tyler Cudo and Evan Saenz; sophomores Audrey Brlecic, Dylan White, and Catherine Orazem; and juniors Madelyne Morris, Nathan Galante, Alex Nevision, Alex Simerale, and Nic Ramsey. The team is coached by science teacher Mr. Zack Geizer with assistance from mathematics and engineering teacher Mrs. Ashley Kelm, academic coach Mr. Tony Hodun, and parent volunteer Mr. Rich Ruggeri.
