Lions clinch state championship in 4 x 400m relay
In a thrilling finish at the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches State Tournament last Saturday, the Lions clinched the state championship in the 4 x 400-meter relay.
Juniors Danny Yanick and Javon King and seniors Tim Herczog and Andrew Ryan won the race with a time of 3:26.
Their win qualified the Lions to compete in the Adidas Track Nationals in Virginia Beach on March 18-20. Junior Brian Bates will also compete in the Adidas meet based upon his outstanding performance in the 800-meter run earlier this season.
