NDCL community gathers in prayer for Class of 2022
For the first time since 2019, the entire school community gathered with parents and other relatives of our senior class for an enthusiastic, spirit-filled celebration of NDCL's traditional Baccalaureate Mass on Wednesday morning.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, there was no Baccalaureate Mass in 2020. We celebrated last year's Baccalaureate in the evening with only the graduates and their parents attending.

The prelude to the liturgy featured this slideshow of the 173 members of the Class of 2022.

As the Mass began, senior Antonio Vitale addressed the congregation with a reflection based upon the words of the NDCL alma mater.

"It would be easy to take all that has happened on our journey through high school and keep it as memories in the backs of our heads, but it is another thing to learn from these experience and to continue to live out those lessons in our daily lives," Antonio said.

"Those memories will provide comfort and joy that we can reminisce on and use to find what we truly care for and about, just as Mary did, reflecting on all that she experienced and pondering it in her heart. Those lessons of faith and friendship will help support us in our future relationships," he continued.

A LASTING LEGACY: President Dr. Michael Bates             "I encourage all of you to work toward becoming the best version of yourself you can be, the

on Wednesday. These treasured keepsakes are replicas of
the statue that once stood on the campus of Cathedral Latin
School and now graces NDCL's Mary Garden on the school's
front lawn.

FAITH AND FRIENDSHIP THAT WE SHARE: Chaplain Father Jim Caddy leads the entire school community in prayer during Wednesday morning's Baccalaureate Mass for the Class of 2022. The all-school gathering in McGarry Gym marked a return to a tradition that had not been celebrated since 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
