This week our students and campus ministers grabbed paint buckets, rollers, and brushes to transform a little part of the world—one barn at a time—by lending a hand with painting projects at Hiram Farm.

Hiram Farm Living and Learning Community is a nonprofit organization that since 2009 has provided services for adults with developmental disabilities, with an emphasis on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The Farm provides opportunities for these adults to grow, learn, work, and live in a setting focused on respect and support for individuals and the environment.

We are exploring an ongoing partnership with Hiram Farms as we look to expand our students' service and solidarity experiences, which currently include our Labre Ministry with the poor and homeless, our L'Arche Ministry with special needs adults, and our Joseph of Arimathea Society that provides pall bearers for those with no one to carry them to their final place of rest.
