Mary Lucy Currier leads effort to raise $27,554 for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society recently recognized junior Mary Lucy Currier for raising $27,554 to support medical research and improve the quality of life of patients and their families affected by blood cancer.

Mary Lucy led a fundraising team of NDCL students named Delaney's Defenders to honor the memory of Delaney Nalepka, a childhood friend who died from leukemia in 2020.
"We count ourselves lucky to have had Mary Lucy and your school community as a part of this campaign," wrote Mr. Kevin Jakub and Mr. Denny Ziegler, co-chairpersons of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign.
Thirty-three high school teams raised a total of $821,000 in this year's fundraising effort.
