Robotics team takes second in regional qualifier
NDCL's state-bound robotics team joined two competitors to form an alliance that took second place in the First Tech Challenge regional qualifying competition at Kent State University on February 4.
The Lions also earned a first-place Connect Award for forming relationships with the engineering community and a third-place Design Award for the engineering process behind the development of our robot.
Seniors Nathan Galante, Alex Simerale, and Alex Nevison; juniors Dylan White and Cate Orazem; and sophomores Tyler Cudo and Evan Saenz had a direct hand in operating or assisting the robot during competition. Freshman Angelina Serre-Baraga assisted by scouting other teams.
The team will compete in the state tournament on March 11 at Hobart Arena in Troy.
