Construction projects begin minutes after last bell
Within minutes after the last bell of the 2022-2023 school year, work began on two significant upgrades to NDCL's academic and athletic facilities.

A $600,000 renovation of the biology and chemistry lab will involve gutting Rooms 219, 221, 223, and 225 from floor to ceiling. The reconfigured space will include new lab stations, re-faced cabinetry, improved power and plumbing, and greater flexibility for classroom instruction and lab activities.

Another $250,000 will be invested in the construction of the new Rieger Athletic Center, a 4,500-square-foot training and practice facility for track and field and other sports, especially during the inclement days of late winter and early spring. The project involves stripping a former storage facility to its structural skeleton and re-cladding it with new metal walls and roof. Crews will then install lights, a heating system, artificial turf, and other items to get the Rieger Center ready for use by this fall.

The center is named in honor of Mr. Eric Rieger and his family, who generously contributed a major gift toward this important enhancement to our athletic facilities.
