On Friday 1.26.24, NDCL’s Mock Trial team competed at the district level tournament at Lake County Courthouse. Our Legal Lions competed throughout the day and met the hefty requirement of performing for some of the top judges and attorneys within the county. Taking home multiple awards for best witnesses and best attorneys, the close of the 2023-2024 season was a great success. The Lions owe much of their success to the expert advice provided by their dedicated and generous volunteer legal advisors, including Mr. Richard Carbone ‘65; Kimberly Baioni, mother of senior Victoria; Mr. Martin Delahunty (father of Jackie '16 and JD '17); Mr. Perrin Sah & Judge Carolyn Paschke, (parents of Garrett '20 and Mallory Sah '22); Mr. Eric Rieger (father of Noelle '24 and Natalie '27); Judge Michael Shaughnessy (father of Megan '12, Kate '18, and Kelly '25); Judge Terri Stupica and Mr. Nick Burling '01 from the Geauga County Prosecutor's Office. Special thanks to our faculty advisors, Mr. Michael Vitale, Mr. Alex Dyer, and Miss Katie Martin '14 for all they did to support the team.
