NDCL helps fills Geauga Food Pantries

For the third year the NDCL School Community held its annual food drive to benefit the Geauga County Hunger Task Force. During the four days of exam week, each student is invited to bring a donation of food for each exam they take – in most cases, this is 8 items per student! In exchange for their donations, students receive a “dress down” opportunity.

The drive has been organized by the Christian Leadership and Service class with the intent offering hope to those individuals who otherwise may have gone hungry. NDCL students organize and box the donations which will be picked up in early January when the pantries of the five Hunger Task Force cites are depleted

“It is wonderful to see the students participating and offering donations this week that will help feed others,” says Miss Fleming, NDCL Campus Minister. “They are bringing in so many cans and food items each day that will make a huge difference in the lives of others. It is fun to have them sort the cans too and see what meals other people will eating. It puts their lives and situations in perspective.

Once again, our students are transforming the world!
