NDCL students use the MobileServe app, which logs, tracks, and verifies service.
The following parameters are designed to help students plan out their service for the school year.
Students must earn:
- A minimum of 20 hours within the acceptable categories is required each year.
- Semester 1: 10 hours must be completed by December 15
- Semester 2: 10 hours must be completed by May 15 (Seniors: May 1)
Students must have an email verification and a signature of the supervisor.
(Students should ensure that they have entered the correct email address and inform the supervisor they will receive an email for verification email from “Team MobileServe”.)
Students are encouraged to find service opportunities that inspire them to want do more. When submitting the hours in MobileServe, students should find the best descriptive category in the drop down menu.
Students should participate in a variety of service experiences that take them outside of their comfort level over the course of the high school years. Campus Ministry posts many service opportunities for students to consider. Opportunities for service are promoted on the website, on NDCL Live (morning announcements), and in Theology classes.
Students should log all service hours they perform in the MobileServe app. We have many ways to recognize students who go above and beyond in their service. (See Service Recognition)
