Leadership

Retreat Leaders

Seniors lead in the following retreat roles:

Freshman COMMUNITY Retreat Leader:  The freshman retreat is supported by a combination of junior and senior CPE leaders. They have an opportunity to witness their faith and integrate their faith into the community building activities that take place on retreat.

Kairos Retreat Team Member:  Kairos retreat is open to juniors and seniors, and once they have attended, they may apply to be leaders on one of the three Kairos retreats their senior year. In order to be a leader, a student must be in good academic standing, complete an application and interview with the Campus Ministers. Those discerned as team are trained in-group dynamics, how to lead sharing and discussion, and in being a leader at all times. They are also asked to commit to the Christian Code of Conduct which includes Sunday Mass attendance and Christian behaviors. Our leaders have a strong impact on the students and we appreciate their modeled leadership to the school.

Liturgical Ministers

All students are invited to use their gifts in the liturgical ministries as altar servers, lectors, music ministers and gift bearers. Juniors and seniors who are confirmed may be trained as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

Service Leaders

All students are welcome to submit ideas for school-wide involvement in service, fundraising campaigns, and awareness initiatives to Campus Ministry based on their own interests and their passion for justice.  Once approved, students earn service hours for the time they spend in bringing the cause to light as well as for any events connected to the cause.

Previous student led initiatives have included but are not limited to:
  • Advent Giving Tree
  • Campus Cares Canned Food Drive
  • Boxes of Hope
  • Paws for Prayer
  • Candy for a Cause (supporting schools in Uganda)
  • Clothing the Cold
  • Lenten Project
  • Duck Tape Bracelets to support Anti-Human Trafficking
  • Blanket Making for the Homeless
